Welcome to Village Carpet & Interior...

One of the oldest and best known businesses in Pagosa Springs, Village Interiors Carpet One, recently announced th addition of new management staff — and some new products, including a range of “green” flooring products.

Village Carpet Staff

The helpful staff at Village Interiors Carpet One look forward to serving you! From left, sales manager Lisa Mettscher, owners Steve and Bobbi Wirth, and warehouse manager Darrell Hebert.

In addition to the staffing and product expansion, Village Interiors is holding their prices at 2007 levels for as long as they can.

“With the rising price of oil, we are getting regular notices from our suppliers that prices on certain products are headed upwards,” says Village Interiors co-owner Bobbi Wirth.  “But we are doing our best to hold prices down, to help our customers in these tight economic times.”

Many carpet styles are made from petroleum products, she explains, so wholesale carpet prices are significantly affected by the world oil market.  These changes may make recycled carpet and other “green” flooring products more attractive in the coming months and years.

“So we encourage everyone to make their carpet and flooring decisions are soon as possible, to get the best prices.”

Village Interiors Carpet One has been family-owned and operated since 1976 by Pagosa Springs residents Steve and Bobbi Wirth.  Steve oversees the installation side of the business — while Bobbi works the customer service and ordering side, along with the company’s new sales manager Lisa Mettscher.

“We are the largest carpet and flooring supplier in the area,” says Lisa, “and we have a variety of products to meet every lifestyle and budget.  Our installations are guaranteed — and we have financing available.”

Products include the extensive Carpet One line — as well as Liz Claiborne, Lees, Mannington, Mohawk, Montado, Interceramic, Laufen and Hanover Hills.

The company includes onsite measurement of your floor areas as part of their free estimate service, once a customer has chosen their product from Village Carpet’s wide range of flooring options.  “Some flooring suppliers charge up to $100 for that service,” Bobbi notes.

“When customers try and order flooring products online, they can sometimes find lower prices than what we offer — but the installation service is sometimes not what you expect. In fact, it can often be a nightmare,” says Lisa.  “And the big stores don’t always have qualified staff to help you make the right decisions.”

“We’re a small-town store, but we have a large variety.”

Contractor pricing is available to area builders.

Lisa says she is excited to be a new part of the management team.  “We are making a special effort to offer even better customer service than ever before.”

Bobbie notes that more and more customers are expressing an interest in “green” products such as cork, bamboo, and natural fiber and recycled carpet.  She says that most installations do not involve any glues or other chemicals, but also says that “all of our glues are now earth-friendly.”

The company features remnants for very reasonable prices, for those looking for small pieces of carpet to “help with mud season.”  Discounted clearance items — tile and hardwood flooring remnants — are also available on an almost-daily basis.

“We are also making some real values available, for anyone thinking of using their Economic Stimulus check in that direction,” says Bobbi.

Village Interiors Carpet One is proud of their long history of reliable, local service — as well as the new attitude of their sales staff.  No matter what type of flooring you need, Village Carpet and Interiors is looking forward to assisting you with expert advice and outstanding installations.
